What I liked

The work culture at PwC is absolutely phenomenal. What I really appreciate is the emphasis on fostering a collaborative environment where everyone's ideas are valued. It's truly inspiring to witness the innovative thinking and creative approaches that each individual brings to their projects. The level of dedication and passion for finding unique solutions is truly commendable. It's definitely a place where you can grow both personally and professionally.

What I wish was different

Everything is perfect and it feels like it suits me perfectly!

Advice

I would like to advise people that one should try to explore fields which they were interested in before but never got the opportunity. Opportunities are always available, we just need to pick the right one at the right time!

Even though it was remote and condensed to 2 weeks because of COVID, I still had the opportunity to meet a lot of the team and gain an understanding and in-depth look at what the group does and their day-to-day functions.

What I liked

This experience was more focused on learning about the firms, expanding your network, and learning about different possible career paths. It wasn't a work intensive internship where you constantly drowning in work, which gave me the opportunity to enjoy it more and get more involved in company activities. It also really encouraged to build relationships and I feel I made a lot of friends during my time there and we will pick up right where we left off when we return.

What I wish was different

I did my best to reach out and do as much as possible. Of course I feel like I could've done more. Such as finding personal shadowing opportunities or network more with staff that has been their longer.

Advice

If given this opportunity take advantage of every opportunity you have even if it is outside your comfort zone. Take the opportunity to get to know your peers because more than likely they will be your future coworkers.

What I liked

My team worked to engage me on our projects, giving me work and responsibility and allowing me to engage with the client. I learned so much because of this, and felt like I was actually contributing to the team, making me even more excited to work.

What I wish was different

I wish there had been more intern events. I got to know a few people pretty well but I wish I could've gotten to meet more!

Advice

Ask for work and be willing to try anything, even if it's out of your comfort zone. Doing that will not only help you learn but make you stand out to your team as well. Plus, your team doesn't expect you to be perfect, they just want you to give it your best shot!

What I liked

It was a great opportunity to get exposed to so many different types of technology work and roles. I got placed on a working team so you really felt like you were a full time employee. Everyone was extremely friendly and always willing to help me or talk about their experience.

I wish it was a little longer because that would have given me more time to get comfortable and more fully integrated into the team.

Advice

Going in I thought I needed to be very knowledgeable on the skills required for the project. But this is not the case. You learn 80% of what you need on the job just by doing it.

I really enjoyed the net work that I built and the technical skills I learned in tableau

What I wish was different

I wish the on boarding process was less problematic. Pwc did lose my applications early on, and I was forced to contact a recruiter to get them resubmitted, which was very stressful.

Advice

I would say, ask a lot of questions on the job and be prepared to take everything. Also, networking is key.
